Thurston Commons
Data Powered Change
Ongoing access to Thurston County's criminal justice data.
Commons is a community-driven data tool that shapes criminal justice policy.
Co-creation
Working with Community Leaders and Thurston County Officials
Data access and transparency can be essential to more effective prosecution and crime-reduction strategies.

Our data dashboard will empower the community with greater insight into the types of cases we handle, the diversions we offer, and the convictions we secure. My goal for this project is to refine our practices and policies to drive the best possible outcomes while increasing engagement, trust, and transparency with those we serve.
Jon Tunheim, Thurston County Prosecutor
Thurston County, Washington

Commons will help the County make the justice system more accountable and help identify and eliminate income, racial, and gender bias. I hope County residents will use the data to see if their own justice goals are being met.
